August is the month of C/O Pop music festival (15th to 19th) in cologne and we were invited to host the Global Player Night by Radio Funkhaus Europa on the turntables. Deela and the Ancient Astronauts will be the DJ´s for that night spinning the hottest of traditional and modern world music for the music-loving crowd. The Special live act for that night are the multiple Grammy-nominated Orishas from Cuba.Infos: www.gloria-theater.com
Billabong and Switchstance Recordings, in collaboration with Trix & Flix, present to you the "Tropical Punch To Your Club" – tour through austria and germany. The australian surf- and boardsports-company connected with Switchstance Recordings and it´s event series Trix & Flix to present Billabong´s latest DVD release "Tropical Punch" exclusively in 3 selected cities. The movie will only be shown on this 3 events and can´t be acquired by purchase after this tour.
The movie was filmed in may 2007 on Tahiti and illustrates the finest in Freesurfing, latest event-highlights and hidden spots around Tahiti, following surfers as Andy Irons, Taj Burrow, Joel Parkinson, Cory Lopez and more catching perfect waves. But the newest Billabong movie is not the only highlight of the night. Directly after the movie our Switchstance crew will set the dancefloor on fire. Deela and the Ancient Astronauts will be serving the finest in Funk, True School Hip Hop, Dopebeats, Breaks & Reggae, getting special live pa support by Switchstance Reggae artist Mango Juice. In addition to this Chris Stock from the cologne based Discodogs (and co-organisator of the Trix & Flix event series) teams up with the Switchstance crew to round up this night of powerful dance-grooves.

Switchstance Recordings is back at Duisburg´s Djaezz club, the one and only location for solid dance-grooves in Duisburg. Come over and celebrate our label night together with Deela and the Ancient Astronauts at the turntables and Mango Juice on the microfone. Dope Beats for Dope Peeps!

Summer time is still going strong (at least in some areas) but the winter season is coming soon. Switchstance´ winter season kick-off will be the "Hot-zone.tv Snowpark Opening Hintertux" in austria from the 5th – 7th of october 2007. Again Deela, Ancient Astronauts and Mango Juice will represent Switchstance Recordings and are responsible for positive Grooves on the mountain and on the official Opening party. So expect a big load of conscious vibes and smiles!
