The second part of the vinyl edition of Switchstance's well-received second compilation, Fantastic Freeriding 2, once more brings out the best of the label's artists - whether they want to make you dance or chill, these musicians never fail to thrill.
A1: I Am Blind opens the EP inna Kabanjak stance: exciting, moody, heavy are the words to apply to this fine thinking man's tune from a thinking beathead.
A2: The jazz cats from Deela return to form with Wednesday – presenting a fat jam session between the bluesrockers and old-skool funksters within them.
A3: Ancient Astronauts get the remix treatment from Protassov here - so it's kind of a re- Return to Blackspin, which has Protassov twiddling knobs and applying crazy sax to create a playful everyday soundtrack for all of our lives.
B1: Protassov leads the way - Eyeless & Painfree is a peaceful day-trip along his very own flushing meadows and a panacea for those who think seeing is believing.
B2: Deela present another favourite from their live shows - Conceicao here comes in their own Straight Up Mix, blending the latin side of things with a strong Rhodes piano and hiphop-beats.
B3: Crisp beats, charming harp and the vibe of back when TripHop wasn't a cus word: Protassov stays with the 'blind' theme on Mirrorblind as background for yet another stunning beat excursion.
B4: Rounding up things and the EP, Ancient Astronauts ask What Does It Take For You To See My Heart with an atmospheric tune that is best described as a slow and sexy mover.
